Juvederm —

Juvederm belongs to a class of fillers whose primary ingredient is hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring complex carbohydrate. Other fillers in the same class include Restylane and Prelane.

Restylane —

A hyaluronic acid gel that closely resembles the body’s own hyaluronic acid. Restylane is a non-animal product produced in Sweden.

Perlane —

This is primarily the same product as Restylane but is used for larger folds and facial sculpting.

Sculptra —

An FDA-approved product for restoration and/or correction of the signs of facial fat loss (lipoatrophy).

Artefill —

An FDA-approved non-resorbable wrinkle filler. Artefill contains PMMA microspheres and purified bovine collagen. Skin testing is needed.

Evolence —

A porcine collagen that is cross-linked to produce a 3D matrix structure that closely mimics human collagen. No skin testing. Immediate results. In a clinical trial, wrinkle correction was sustained for six months.

Elevess —

A crossed linked hyaluronic acid with lidocaine injectable gel for anesthetic injecting.

Dermalilve and Dermdeep —

Injectable implant for deep facial creases. It utilizes hyaluronic acid and acrylic hydrogel.

Radiesse —

A dermal filler used to correct facial lines and folds. It is a synthetic filler made up of microscopic calcium particles naturally found in bone. It is calcium hydroxlapatite suspended in gel for injection.
